How to Make Chicken Bone Broth

The lemon and apple cider vinegar helps to break down the collagen and makes it more abundant in the broth.
You can drink it in a cup instead of coffee, tea or water.
It can be used instead of water for gravies, sauces, quinoa, and rice.
Excellent base for chicken soup.
Ingredients
- roasted chicken carcass
- Lemon Wedges
- 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 12 Cups Water
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 Onion
- 4 Cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a large pot.
- Cook on Low setting for 4 hours. Strain before using, and discard vegetables. Chicken may be removed from the bones, and used in soup.
- Use the broth right away, or cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 1 year.
- Remove any fat that has solidified on the top before using. You may discard this fat or use it as you would any other cooking fat.
